Overhaul
Overhaul will be done while vessel is at quayside in a Belgian channel.
Scope:
– Complete overhaul auxiliary engine CAT 3306 SB (78754 running hours.)
– Overhaul of turbocharger.
– Overhaul cylinder heads.
– Testing fuel pump and injectors at workshop IMSE.
During dismantling engine components is seemed several got severe damaged.
For example failures and damages were found on camshaft pin big end.
Very bad conditions of bearings lube oil pump system.
The complete engine block was dismantled and transported to the IMSE workshop. It went ultrasonic cleaning and blasting of the air cooler
At IMSE workshop it seemed camshaft was out of measurements and therefor replaced with a new camshaft.
